Something I haven't seen before. I would like to level my truck but instead of raising the front, I want to drop the rear and keep the center of gravity lower. Has anyone tried lowering the rear and if so, what is a good way to do that?

My truck info, mods and add-ons:

2005 Hemi 5.7L Ram 1500 QC/SLT 4x4, Deep Molton Red Pearl coat, Dodge slush mats, Mopar mud flaps, Flowmaster 50 Series SUV-Performance Mufflers w/DT Sports stainless tips, Nitto Terra Grappler tires, SRT-10 Hood, Volant CAI, SUPERCHIPS #3815, Garmin C550 StreetPilot, Jet Stream Scoop, stripes from West Side Vinyl Graphics, Chrome gas door, Power running boards, Rhino Liner, Chrome door moldings, Putco Chrome Bed Railings, Mopar Chrome Grill inserts, molded floor matts with alum. Ram's head, RAM window graphic, RAM OEM seat cover set front and rear, Kappa/Focal Speakers, Silverstar headlights, LLumar window tinting and... more accessories on the way.

Drop shackles and spring clamps will lower your rear end almost 3" - and cost less than $100.

That's a good idea as long as you don't use your truck for off-roading much (or at all).

And ditto on what Mr. Hemi said.

Thank you guys for your help. I think I'll go ahead and lower the rear then.

Does 2" lower in the back really make much difference offroad?

I just used the drop shackles and it looks great. We carry a lot of equipment when we work in the field, so I did not want to put on the spring clamps. We used the Beltech shackles. Nice product.

Thank you. There's a place in my area called Cascade Offroad and I'm going to stop by to ax them what they think. They use GroundForce kits.

make sure they use OEM equivalent bushings... the neoprene (plastic) bushing will forever squeak (DJM, Groundforce, and a couple others). I started with DJM shackles, and had to remove them due to the squeaks... belltech would be my recommendation.

Probably not, just going to mainly affect your approach/departure angles. I'd just watch for scraping your bumper and stuff like that.

The tech looked up Beltech for my truck and it only has a 1" drop but we're going to try a 2" from another model truck that they think will work.

As long as its not aggressive offroading its fine. Keep to soft trails that don't require much articulation.

I still got a major boner for your truck man, that bitch looks sweet!

Smooth talker you.

Is there any pointing adjustments for our stock fog lights? I know how to adjustment my headlights down but didn't think about the other lamps.
