Just wanted to make sure these are the correct part #'s before I order. BE5-6140-T5 for front, BE5-6248-H5 for rear? 6 each of 98108G bushings & 423730 sleeves? Are these correct for a 2004 4x4 Quad cab leveled? And are these the silver ones instead of the yellow and blue ones? Thanks for any info!

Man, I am glad you posted this. Those are the right shock part #'s for sure. Freeze just told me that. I am not sure about the bushings/sleeves numbers though. Would like to know for sure though cause that is next on my list to do after I finish up the stereo.

Bilstein 5125 part numbers: BE5-6140-T5 (front), BE5-6248-H5 (rear). You'll need 14.4 mm bushings (P/N 98108G) and sleeves (P/N 423730) to go along with those.
Here found this on another thread....guess that answers that.... thumb2

Yeah, and how easy was it to put the sleeves/bushings in? I was considering buying a tabletop press to do little stuff like that, but I would have to figure it out. I have never pressed anything in before. Good thing I have a neighbor with a 4x4 shop....lol.

It's a PITA. Put plenty of white lithium on the INSIDE of the bushings and set up your press to keep the bushings from pushing out the backside of the shock eyelet as you SLOWLY press in the sleeves.

So never having done this before....do the bushings just push in by hand? And then you have to press in the sleeves in the hole in the bushing, or do you have to press in the bushings, and then the sleeves as well?

Push the sleeves just short of halfway into the bushings, then push the bushings into the eyelets. Place the eyelet into your press with a flat piece of wood behind the bushing (this will help keep the bushing from flaring out the backside of the eyelet as you SLOWLY press the sleeve the rest of the way in). You may need to work the shock back and forth a little until the sleeve is all the way into the bushing. Make sure you don't get any of the white lithium grease on the outside of the bushing (use it only on the inside to allow the sleeve to slide in easily). Take your time and be prepared for some frustration.

Why the heck doesn't Bilstein offer this with their shocks? Not like Dodge Rams are an Italian exotic that no one ever buys shocks for....A lot of work for something that should just be bolt on, don't you think?

Bingo. The 5125 series are a "universal fit" variation of the application-specific 5100 series. They come standard w/ a 5/8" bushing & sleeve, but offer other sizes that can be vehicle-matched and swapped in.
