I have leveled my 06 2500. My 35's are much closer to the rearof the front fenders than the front so I would like to move the front axle forward about 1".

If I adjust the eccentric washers on the lower arms will that mess with the caster too much?

What is the difference between that and adjustable lowers?

Would I need to get adjustable upper and lowers?

Thanks for any input,
Kevin Miller

Welcome aboard IamBIGGUN - we're glad you joined us!
I'm not sure, but I don't think it's possible and/or a good idea to be moving the front axle from its original factory position.

Don't mess with the eccentrics. It will mess with drive ability too much. You can move the axle forward a bit. Just be aware that you may get some rubbing on the front of the fender. Much easier to trim v.s. the rear of the fender. Just get 4 new arms that are 1" longer than factory and you're good. Adjustable arms are for the birds.

Big Grin

Thanks!

I've been here before but my e-mail has changed and I couldn't log in. oops!

As for moving the axle, Every lift kit out there ends up moving the axles one way or another. As the truck goes up the axles move toward the center of the truck. The larger kits then include the arms to move the axles back to the center of the wheel wells.

I'm just nowhere near knowledgable about the geometry of it all to know how far you can move one before you need to move both.

Thanks for the input though.

Thanks T.D.!

The tires aren't centered right now so I want to split the difference to get even spacing. I wasn't sure if all 4 needed to be longer but I kinda thought they did....I figured lengthening one set would mess with drivability but wasn't sure if it may have compensated for being 2" higher in the front.

Thanks again,
Kevin

No prob. Some of those kits that come with arms aren't longer at all. Though some of said arms may be stronger(tube v.s. stamped), they don't do you any good.
