Here is how you run a short belt. This is a Napa belt, part# 25-060535. And you had better eat you wheaties because this thing is a bear to steer at low speeds. strong Wink

The belt I have will not run around the pully. You would need one that is 1 or 2 cm longer.

only downfall on the alt routing is the water pump on the second routing only has 1/8 of of diameter contact area, I like the fist one with about 1/4 of the dia. contact area!

Has anyone ever almost crashed with the short belt on? I would hate to hit a slick spot and have no steering

if your moving 5 mph the truck will turn just fine! Dont worry be happy!!! Standard power steering rules apply wont be as easy to trun and you will have to use some biceps but the rack does turn better than a standard box! Like he said, it turns easy when your drifting sideways! LOL beer

No i understand it was a little scary at the track when at the 1/8 mile mark my truck started to spin because some import leaked tranny fluid in that spot and i was the next one down the track. Not fun hearing your motor wind up to 6krpms when you are already at 5k in second gear, rockin Guess at that point if you are in trouble, it doesn't matter if you have ps
