What do you guys think about this? http://www.amsoil.com/StoreFront/amk.aspx
I am also curious how it works exactly.

I've had mine for a little over two weeks now and it does what it claims. When I turn the key to run the alarm will sound and I see the oil pressure rise a bit so I know it's working. I've recently had an issue with my oil pressure - I do NOT believe it is related to the AMSoiler - so my AMSoil dealer installed a manual oil pressure gauge so I can keep an eye on my oil pressure for my trip to Hilton Head, SC. When I turn the key to run, the alarm sounds and I see an increase of oil pressure to about 8 lbs so I know it's forcing oil into the engine before I start it.

How it works is this: BigArt will correct me if I'm a bit off base... When you shut off the engine the oil pressure pushes oil into the pre-oiler and it is maintained there until you turn the key to run. Once you turn the key to run, an alarm is sounded by the pre-oiler while it dumps its contents into the engine and when the alarm quits, you turn the key to start. The pre-oiler sends oil into the engine to avoid dry starts.

Here a pic of my install -- note my AMSoil dealer/mechanic installed mine a little higher to allow for additional cooling...

The only thin is that I have remote start and use it almost everytime I turn my truck on. Could probally set it up with it, but im not sure about adding a delay to the remote or truck to start a few seconds after I push the "start' button on my remote.

An electric oil pump with a switch on it would be awesome. Free some horsepower up too. Big Grin
