sounds like the infamous Hemi Tick... maybe that one quart of lucas thickened up the cold viscosity a little too much dunno
may try changing the oil again, without the lucas.
just to be clear on what oil you are using... are you using Mobil 1, or clean 5000. one is "synthetic", and one is conventional. thumb2

If you have to add stuff to your oil to make the oil good, just buy good oil. If you need an Amsoil quote email me at russellandalexis@gmail.com

I switched from 0W-2, 25,000 mile oil to the 0W-30 signature oil, which is a 35,000 mile oil. I installed the dual filtration system on it several years ago. I noticed, or actually, could not hear the Hemi tic at all with this new oil. The engine used about a 1/2 pint in 24,000 miles. Not bad, huh.

absolutely nothing wrong with Amsoil... but no one can honestly say there is anything "wrong" with using Mobil 1 either... I am running Mobil 1 right now, simply due to availability, and am not getting the "hemi tick" either. If extended oil changes are what you are considering, Mobil 1 extended performance is also an extended drain (15,000 miles) oil as well... this is not an attempt to start an "what oil is better" war.... just playing devils advocate.. Big Grin

I am a dealer for Amsoil, love the stuff but your right availability is an issue. If you you run the Mobile One original or extended life you cant go wrong. You an actually run mobile one on the bypass system and do the same thing. Just get it tested. I have a question for you, what filter do you use. If your not using the Mobile One filter your only half way protected. The mobile one filter like the Amsoil filter used synthetic filter fiber, which has way more surface area compared to a paper filter like Fram, wix, puralator etc. Amsoil filter is over 20% more efficient and is 15 microns vs 25 microns. Cannot quote the micron on the Mobile one, but its miles ahead of the normal filter.

I have always ran the mobil 1 filter, but got in a pinch a few weeks ago (long overdue for an oil change), and pulled into the dealer for a "free oil change" that was still owed to me. They carry Mobil 1 oil, but not mobil filters. so they put the mopar brand filter on.

Drop the filter, replace it and top it off if you want. The Mopar filter is not going to hurt it, just run it. Unless your going extended miles which you safely can.
