Yes, yes it is. Been doing it for a few years now. Go to http://bestsyntheticoil.com/amsoil/ordering.shtml and get yourself the Signature Series 0W-30 (1-yr / 35,000 miles w/ filter swap @ 25K) or XL 5W-20 (6-month / 7500 mile) and an EaO-42 filter. Check the Online Application Guide for tranny and diff fluid, too.

I'd stick with the AMSOIL EaO series.

Absolutely won't effect your warranty. If your dealership says it does, they are uniformed and violating the law.

Art, I noticed the warranty from Amsoil suggests that 25,000 does not apply to engines that have ECM programmers or CAI. What drain interval should be done for mine. I have the SC, True flow, and magnaflow. Any help will be appreciated.

I now have 18,000 miles on the Amsoil 0-W20 and I have the dual filtration system on my truck

IMO your fine.

With as much as my truck is modified I've done oil analysis up to 35K miles without any issues.

If your modified or severe duty the it's half the miles. Even at 1 year or 12,500 miles it's a steal.

Hey Art....you should get on DTW and go to the Dakota forum. There is a post about what oils guys are using in the more recent posts. They were asking if anyone had ever done the analyses with Amsoil. One guy said he just couldn't trust that much in between oil changes. I informed them a little about it and told them I knew guys personally that had done it on here, but you would be able to provide the docs.....check it out.
