I have a 2005 1500 SB 4x4 Hemi. The truck has just turned 15K miles. My dealer just sold out to another dealer that is a real PIA to deal with, so I won't unless I have to.

Only maintenance I have done is routine oil changes. Since new dealer wants nearly $50 for an oil change, time to go back to doing them myself. I see the general consensus is AMSOIL is the brand of choice with an annual change or 25K miles.

What about the rear diff? I was told by the dealer that I should have a 15K service on the rear diff. Since the truck is nearly 4 years old and has never had the trans or diff fluids changed, should I get both diff and tranny fluid changed? Should I use the AMSOIL in the diffs as well?

Thanks,

DON

iagree You get more mileage and time out of Amsoil, and not to mention it is a good product. I wouldn't pay a dealer to do those services, it is easy to do.
