Right now I'm using Mobil 1 but thinking about switching to Amsoil. I've been told if I do this I could have problems with my seals leaking because of the different compounds used in Amsoil versus Mobil 1. Has anyone experienced problems going from Mobil 1 to Amsoil? Thanks.

I went from M1 to RP to Amsoil....That is an old wives tale. However, synthetics in general are a "cleaner" oil, and if switching from a conventional oil in a higher mileage vehicle, the synthetic will have a tendency to wash out any old build up therefore finding leaks that were technically there but clogged up with deposits from the older conventional. But from syn to syn, you should not experience that if you haven't already.
