I just did a treatment on my truck and wow the smoke could of blinded an airplane. I may run another treatment later this week. I also got the deeper creeper and cleaned the throtle body too. But after the treatment the throtle response and idle was better.
I LOVE SEAFOAM!

I did about half through the brake booster vaccuum line. Then I added the rest to the crank case. I let it sit a little longer than 5 minutes but When I started it it was smoking just a little and then I got a call my son had to be picked up at school so I left to do that and when I gave it gas to pull out of the driveway it smoked like crazy. And it stopped about a mile down the road. Thats why I may run another bit through later this week.

No real need to run anymore through. What you have described is normal. It won't smoke much when you restart it if you just let it idle. IF you rev it up or go out and drive it right off though it goes nuts. Normal to go out and have it smoke some for a mile or two. That is why I always head out on the highway for a "spirited run" after a treatment.

Really doing the treatment again is more than likely not going to do too much. Maybe if you let it sit longer( 10 minutes ). If it were me I would just start doing it now once a year or every 10K.

That sounds like a plan. I think the truck sat quite a bit before I got it. I found a good bit of condensation under the oil cap. I have found several other signs that it had sat. You think that got all of it? Could I do another one once I do another oil change? Also I was going to run a full can in my next gas fill up. Is all that worth it?

It won't hurt anything to do it again right now( ie; brake booster treatment )I just am not so sure it is going to make a noticeable difference over what you have already done. If you have already treated the crankcase you should be good to go there.

I was never a big fan of Seafoam poured into the gas. IMO that is the one area it does not work very well in. I prefer Techron Plus FI cleaner.

Actually, for some reason the 4.7L and 5.7L have condensation issues in the crankcase. More so the 4.7L than the HEMI but even the HEMI will do it. Poor PCV system is what most seem to think is behind it but I really don't have a clue. I would not call the condensation under your cap a sign the truck sat. Rather I would say it was run mostly on short trips. You might want to also consider cleaning or replacing your PCV valve too.

I am not a fan of Lucas myself. Techron Plus will run you $9-$11 for the large bottle( what we need for the Ram )retail. You can usually get deals and rebates that knock it down to $5 +/-. They have a smaller bottle( only treats up to 12 gallons )that runs $5-$6.

I just did a treatment on my truck and wow the smoke could of blinded an airplane.

I used the Power Foam from Amsoil when I first became a dealer. My Civic did the same thing. Smoked like crazy. Actually, i might be due for another treatment. the first time some pooled in my Idle air control valve and did some funny things, but i got it figured out. Really cleaned it out well though....lol. I never had a fav FI cleaner. Now I just use Amsoil's new formula due to the access i have with it, but it works well. And you aren't supposed to use it more than 4000 mi. intervals. It is pretty potent.
