I am going to put my 2 cents worth in about oil. I am on my third hemi vehicle all mds motors I have been running the castrol in my current truck no problems at all. I run my truck every weekend at the track and drive it every day. I have had the valve covers off and still clean as new. Granted i only have 13000 miles on it.I have cut used filters apart and found no shavings what so ever.

i ran Castol GTX for YEARS in my 91 chevy SS. NEVER had a single engine problem, even after 160K miles! And chevy 454s are known for burning a little oil as "normal", i never had that problem either.. and the two times i did pull the intake off (gasket match porting 1st time, cam the second) there was zero sludge, and everything looked new. It did get oil changes every 3000 religiously though thumb2

I was surprised to see that BMWs come from the factory (Germany) with Castrol full synthetic.

almost all of chevy engines burn oil haha, castrol syntec still isnt a true synthetic, it is a base III stock non PAO based, it is still hydrocracked petro. Not that it isnt a good petro based oil, but you are paying synthetic oil prices for a regular grade oil, id rather buy GTX.
