Just depends on how long you would like to leave the oil in.

You can use either 0w-20 ASM, good for 1yr - 25,000miles. (what I use) or
5w-20 XLM, good for 6months - 7,500miles.

Also EAO42 filter and engine flush depending on your current mileage. If you need some help let me know.

No you won't need to change the filter as long as you use the AMSOIL filter. Here is a link where you can read about the filters.

http://www.synmotors.com/page90/page21/index.html

Also since you have over 20,000 miles on your truck use the AMSOIL flush.

I am using the SSO 0W/30 and its a 35,000 mile oil or one year. I have 18,000 on it so far and the dip stick still reads full. The signature series is the best synthetic that anyone has and I will stick with it.
Dave Mann at http://www.performanceoiltechnology.com/forddiesel.htm is the one that advised me to use it. If any of you Amsoil dealers disagree, please advise why.

I believe Big Art would be the one you need to contact. Send him an e-mail with your telephone number so ya'll can talk about it. If you have the extra money, I would put the dual filtration system on it, if your going to keep it for a while. Makes it easy to change filters and sure filters out the small stuff. I love mine.

OK! You've convinced me to "upgrade" to AMSOIL. My question now is: Has anyone, non racer, gone with the Pre Charger (AMK-01)? At USD $344.00 is it worth the added expense for an average Joe who doesn't plan to race or, doesn't haul a large trailer? I do like the idea of the dual-stage filter.

At 15K miles, I'm due for service for front and rear diffs. and an oil change...and it'll be AMSOIL all the way.

The pre-oiler "AMSOILER" is on my truck and 2 of the other guys here in Cali. They work great and keep the oil MUCH CLEANER.

When your a PC or Dealer it cuts the price down by quite a chunk.

Let one of us know and we'll make sure you get it wholesale.

Thanks BigArt! The dealer I'm working with may cut me a deal. I'll see Wednesday when he does the change-over.

BTW -- How much additional oil is consumed (needed) when adding the dual-stage filters and pre-oiler? I'm guessing a little more than a quart. Maybe 2?

The dealer your working with should give you the oppurtunity to sign up as a Preferred Customer which gives you the same wholesale as Dealers. If he doesn't, I'd say work with a Dealer from here and help support our members.

Depending on which filters you go with depends on how much extra oil. I prefer the EAO15EA and EABP100 with the by-pass kit which adds 2 extra quarts.

The dealer gave me the discount on the hardware but he doesn't pre-load orders. In other words, I'd get the discounts on my next purchase of oil and filters.

Oh, they liked your location -- here's mine.
