I am looking into getting the Amsoil BMK21 single remote bypass kit to go with switching to the signature series 0w30 oil. Does this kit void the powertrain warranty. I still have about 15000 miles left to the warranty. Also, how hard is this bypass to install? I would really like to have the added reassurance that my engine is getting the cleanest possible oil at all times. Thanks.

I have had mine for two years and love it. Makes changing the filters very simple. I have mine welded to the frame rail, just behind the front bumper. It will not void your warranty. I am on the SSO 0w/30 Amsoil and love it.

Good to hear from a person that has run the system for a long period of time. Where does the bypass kit actually tap into to get the oil? Also, about how long does it take to install just so I have an idea of downtime that I would be encountering. Does the filter on the bypass get changed at the same time the normal engine filter is changed once a year?

hemioffroad-one of the members on this site who posts under 'BigArt' is an amsoil dealer. I know he has had the bypass kit installed for a while. He could answer some of your questions. Hopefully he'll be along shortly to respond-if not-maybe you can 'pm' him.
