I have a Uncle (2 yrs older than me) I use Amsoil in my Ram 07 Hemi. He owns a 1997 Ford F-350(7.3) & a 1995 Ford Ranger (4.0L). Yes i know sick. But he is wanting to swap to Amsoil becuase I swear by it (i like it in my truck) does anyone else know of it working well in a Ford. what else can i say i keep praying he will get a dodge... pray angel but until then i will help him as best i can.

just tell him to use cooking oil. It's easily availible at Walmart, Cosco, etc... Standard ol' Vegetable oil in the oil burner, and peanut oil in the little 4.0 should do them ferd's just fine Big Grin

More than likely it is just worn out bushings. Depending on which ones are making the noise you can possibly get just the replacement bushings from Mopar or some Urethane versions by Energy Suspension. If you can determine which ones are making the noise let me know and I can get you pricing for either type.

Amsoil works in anything. He just needs to get with a dealer, or your dealer, and get the right amounts and filters and flush to do the jobs. No big deal. A bypass kit would suit him well on his diesel. That would make his maintenance costs drastically less year to year. My father in law only had to buy a filter and top his diesel off with a quart or two for his yearly oil change. Much cheaper than replacing all 14 quarts.
