my compressor wont click on sometimes unless its cold outside or if i play with "snowflake" button and the knob that controls whether to blow it to the top or bottom. and ive been to 2 places and they both say i dont need freon. but i already know that because if i can get the compressor to click on it starts snowing in the cab. some days it wont turn on at all and in texas everyone needs ac.

I had a problem like that with my 04 and found out that the wiring had been chewed in two!

where was it chewed at?

The main part going into the firewall!

Might want to replace the Control Unit on your dash, might have a short in there, and Id replace the fuse for A/C cause ifyou have a fuse that isnt burnt completely out, it will work sometimes, and check the plugs at the compressor and make sure the connections are clean

is there anything that i can use to clean it with?

They sell electrical contact cleaner at the auto parts. or you can take rubbing alcohol on a stiff small brush and clean it that way!
