I found this site and don't know if anyone has heard about it, he sells new doors made of metal instead of the cheap plastic ones dodge uses. His site is www.heatertreater.net he has videos on Youtube under "dodge ram heater" and his site on how to do the fix, check it out and let me know what you think. heres a link, IMO dodge should have a recall on this, it seems to be real common problem.http://www.heatertreater.net/Dodge%20Ram%20Video.html

I also found them on ebay, I'll be ordering my kit soon and post how I made out with the install, a little over $100 is well worth it then paying the dealership $500-$1000 in labor!

I haven't had any problems with my truck, but it's nice to know that there is a fix if I need it.

Mine broke last Aug, Pulled the broken part out of the blower motor hole. Sure would be nice not to have to remove the whole dash to put a new one in!

What were the issues causing this part to need replacing?

I ask B/C My AC blows cold on the driver side but about 20* hotter on passenger side. Don't know whats the issue.

Sometimes when I switch to defog it won't go back to AC for a while.

Sound familiar to anyone?
