i just got some pacesetter midtubes in and i was gonna cut the exhaust out so that i would be able to put the new one in. but im doing the header install and i wanna drive it to the muffler shop. will i have any problems besides a check engine light and maybe some cops?

Probably nothing mechanical. Just like you said, a stupid CEL. As long as you keep your cats you should be fine after the completion, I would imagine. If you delete the cat/s you will need some sort of mechanical/electrical sim. You could get with Semo if you are going that route.

I drove mine around for about a week with just my long tubes.. thumb2 Only drawback is that silly little light.

because I have a custom cam and tune, mine was dying at stop lights and such tryin to idle. But if you are still on stock cam you should be ok, you will just have a CEL

My shop was about 6 miles away, i just let off the gas everytime i saw a patrol car. And luckly i didnt pull up beside any at the stop lights. You should be fine.
