You probally want to torque all the bolts down drive it around a while to get it nice an dhot then let it cool down then retoque them. Then maybe wait a few days and retorque them again.

you have to heat cycle those things and retorque them after they get hot and cool off, do that about once a week for a couple of weeks, and dont forget the anti-seize.

And the old school trick is to cut the flange between the ports so if one part of the flange slightly warps it wont warp the other.

I used the mopar gaskets and stage 8 bolts.

I had the Dynatech headers installed last fall using the supplied gaskets and stock bolts. Did the heat cycle and retorqued and also retorqued a couple of times over the following couple of weeks. I had the front wheels and wheel well liners off yesterday to install some new headlights so I checked all the header bolts...all still nice and tight.

here's a tip......

before you install the headers, place a straight edge across the flange to see where the gaps are. compare the gaps to the header gaskets and make sure the gasket is thick enough.

tip 2..... headers are warped/ uneven because of weld stress....when the welds cool down, they pull on the material. If you can heat up the headers before you install them, that will relieve some of the stress.

tip 3... Even if you don't heat up the headers before installing them, you don't need stage 8 bolts..........blue loctite works well on regular bolts. Cover a good portion of the threads with it, and ensure the tapped holes in the heads are clean...no oil or dirt!!! Tighten the bolts, and double wrench them as tight as you can (lock two wrenches together). Let the loctite cure for a day, and you will not have any trouble at all!!

Stage 8 locking bolts and revised Mopar gaskets. No issues here. The locking bolts are worth every penny.
