Well i ran into an issue with having headers custom made for my hemi installed into my Dakota. They are effin expensive $$$$$ .

So my alternative route is to sandblast the stock headers and cermaic them or powdercoat them... But than I was turned on to Jet-Coat Coatings... Would be worth it to Jet-Coat stock headers?

the reason for me doing so is mainly for looks but if i can get additional HP outta it, i wouldnt mind. I dont want rusty headers on nice Yellow Block

There's got to be something that fits, with a 268 cam you can really use a better flow exhaust, what about the Gibson logs? i have seen them on Ebay for less than $400.00, i know they are not very popular but it's got to be better than stock.

dunnoWow theres gotta be something out there that you can use hate to say it but I guess those Gibson logs yuk will probaly work for you atleast they flow better than stock and they bolt right up in the stock position and they use the same stock manifold design so sppb might be right either that or custom I guess

well because basically they are more like better flowing stock units and they cost alot and dont look as cool as tubes but in your case they just might be wat ur looking for a couple of guys on ebay were selling then really cheap but they really werent impressed with the gains for the money they spent but they will probaly work for you they are only a little bigger than stock manifolds and they are stainless they should fit nicely but please look on ebay i think gibson charges way too much for them but they do flow better than stock

Have you tried pulling a ram with headers up next to it and taking measuements and comparing the clearences to your truck? You might also want to consider headers off a charger or 300. The engine bay is smaller and the headers may be more compact.
