I've been thinking of buying some longtube headers and was wondering how long or involved it is to put a set on a 04qc hemi. Rite now i have true duals in to a magnaflow dual in dual out muffler.
I will do the install my self, I havent heard how hard it is to install a set, Im sure it cant be as involved as puting a set on my 02 mustang gt was.

For the most part it will depend on what brand you go with. If you go with a complete system that has the longtubes, high flow cats, y-pipe, o-2 extenders and all the gaskets it should be easy except for connecting your duals to the high flow cats if you dont want to use the y-pipe. I'm in the process of installing a Dynatech system, just waiting on the stage 8 locking bolts.

if you do it your self it will take no longer the 4 hours im guessing i just did my entire system last week by myself exept some lifting and taking the old of and putting the new on it took about 4 hours. its actually really easy until you get to some of those header bolts that are hard to reach

Took me all day. I dont see how someone could do it by themselves in a few hours. Between cutting off the old system and lining everything up properly, it takes a while. Maybe I'm just slow.

Took me 4 hours from unbolting the first bolt to test driving the open headers. You'll have to make an extension for the O2 sensors. Not hard but not fun either.

My exhaust set up took me right at 10 hours. Lots of test fitting, cutting, measuring, test fitting, trimming, welding, test fitting, re cutting, welding. It was fun though

thats weird i didnt have to make an extension, idk if it is different for the QCs, i just removed the clip that holds down the o2 harness and re routed the harness and it reached fine.

That's weird. Mine had to be extended about 18 inches.
