So im going to be getting a custom diablo tune on the dyno, was thinking of getting my exhaust reworked before the tune. I've been wanting to upgrade to long tubes + true duals, no cats, with cutouts before the mufflers. Will the LTs fit on my 4x4? If so is the the ULITIMATE exhaust setup for max performance? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

ps. emissions arent a factor

I put TTI longtubes on mine with flowmaster exhaust. They weren't direct fit so they had to do a little work to move my cats back. If I had been thinking I'd have gotten dumps put on then and ran straight pipes. Hindsight is 20/20.

Sounds like you've got the right idea, that would certainly be an ideal setup, providing substantial gains and a wicked sound. Also I would definitely recommend getting it done before the tune so your tuner can factor that in to increase your gains. Your truck looks great but I gotta ask, what's with the spares on all 4 corners? Not only looks, but they're heavy as hell. dunno

I wanted to get some black rims, and found these for next to nothing, so i thought id give them a try, thought theyd look pretty mean. They aren't TOO heavy also. I'll be replacing them sometime down the road :P

Gotcha, they do match your color well and a good deal is a good deal. That drop looks awesome on your 4x4, keep us posted on your dyno results you should put down some pretty good power. thumb2

Its the fastest color right? :P

Reading up on these header companies, none of them have a long tube that fits on the 4x4s, is that true? or is it just a pain to install?

Pacesetter longtubes are widely used and fit 4wd. Mine went on my 2wd without a problem, but minor modification may be needed on a 4x4. Excellent quality and can be ordered with Jet-Hot coating that looks great and really improves durability.

I would go with Pacesetters. Hopefully I'll get them someday.
Also it says they fit 4 wheel.
With the cutouts after that'll sound sweeet! thumb2

Is the true duals the best way to go? Also, would having the cutouts after the headers with no cats hurt anything?

i have them on my 4wd, you just need to trim an ear off of the transmission to get them to fit. if i were to do it again, id get a set of stainless headers. my jet hot coated pacesetters are rusted pretty bad after only a year. cutouts after the headers would not hurt anything.
oh and really nice truck btw Big Grin

So im thinking of going Pacesetter LTs - y pipe - cutout - borla muffler. I went thru the costs of the true duals and thats what i came up with haha. As far as codes are concerned. What will i have to do not throw them. I bought an o2 simulator a while back. Will that do it? Thanks
