Have you compared the port sizes or anything? I am sure they aren't Jet Hot Coated either. I will have to look them up.

I hear good things about them beside the black paint comes off right away I would buy a set and sand blast the paint off and use grill paint or high heat motor paint but for the price if they rusted thru in 3 or 4 years I'd just replace them IMHO thumb2

Guess it depends how you look at it. You can get the coated ones with y-pipe for $640ish on ebay shipped. If you get the y-pipe with these you are looking upwards of $400 shipped. So if you don't mind messing with the paint, go for it. Me....I would just spend the few extra hundred and get the ones that are made for the heat. then you aren't screwing with sandblasting, painting, and then possibly redoing it over and over or replacing them.

Moe's Performance has a good deal on a set Jet-Hot coated with y-pipe. Had mine on for a year and a half with no issues, and they still look great. Just make sure you get the Stage-8 bolts and new Mopar gaskets. thumb2

I'd just pay the extra and get the ones fom moes, they have a good deal on them right now and as soon as I can get the money saved up, I will be ordering them.

http://moesperformance.com/ind...937&products_id=8979

Plus the headers are coated inside and out.

I wish I would have known the paint was crap on the pacesetters. I painted mine with hi temp header paint right over the black pacesetter paint. I drove around the block and most of the paint was gone already.

I still don't think coated headers are worth it unless you're just going for that look or have plenty of money to spend. I'd rather use the extra money on something to make my truck go faster or stop faster.

And don't bother with a Y pipe if you're putting long tube headers on your truck. That doesn't make any sense to me

I guess I don't understand this statement. Why would anybody go thru the trouble and expense of adding a good front end the the exhaust system and leave everything else or at least a piece of everything else untouched?

That's my point, Ditch the Y pipe idea all together and put duals with an H pip or an X pipe.

I recieved my quick trip LT's today in the mail, and with in 2 hours I was sanding them down to apply the UTH paint on them,... My neighbor saw me sanding them down and asked why I was ruining a brand new pair of headers! Then again it might have had something to do withthe multitude of beers that we were consuming! beer
