I am going to be the guieny Pig for a new Header by Boost Brothers. They are billed as a race header, full legnth with NO Cats. I will be doing a full install write up for them and I will post it here if Mr. Hemi Approves.
These are fully polished Stainless the mount to the stock cat back or aftermarket kits. They are Bad Azz looking, I hope they fit and perform as well as they look. As soon as I get them I will post up some pics.

Do you have any measurements on the pipes? Size of the collectors? Size of the tubes?

Here are the specs using clipers and these are inside diameters.
Inside of:
Tubes - 1 5/8"
Collector 2/5/16" - (these collectors look like the thorley type if I remeber correctly)
Main tubes 2 1/2"
Y into stock or aftermarket cat back = 3"

Now the ports are a different story, They are not square but are 1 3/8 wide and 1 3/4 high with an angle on one corner. I spoke to a race car builder and he said that is no big deal, what do you all think?? Pics to follow.

The collects don't sound too bad on size but I think they would be much better off with 1 3/4 in primary tubes if they want to sell very many.

I was using 1 3/4 headers on one of my mustangs 8 years ago. I had to cause the heads were ported past the point of being able to use the 1 5/8. Those heads had monster ports and needed them for all the boost I was running.

You have to love having just under 600rwhp.

Generally the larger diameter primaries, the higher up in the RPMS your power band will be. I wouldn't got any bigger than 1 3/4 on our trucks. We don't really need it.

I've got pacesetters which I think are 1.75" primaries and my truck is pretty weak until about 3500 RPMs then that thing starts to fly. So with 3.55 gears and 31" tires my truck doesn't really wake up until about 25-30 mph. Sucks

This is true but if you have even a small cam, gears, or a torque converter then this isnt really noticable or isn't even there.
I do agree that I would not go any larger.
On a completely stock truck I would probably want 2 1/2 in collects on headers that were 1 3/4 primaries if I wasnt planning any other mods.

My truck is pretty much stock. I'm going to put some gears in it soon. I'm sick of the 3.55s.

On my '59 Pontiac I went from 1 5/8 primaries to 1 3/4 custom headers and it leaned my motor out big time. It raised my idle about 500 RPMs haha. It's crazy how much headers or a bigger set of headers can lean out your mixture
