Basically, you are going to want to take off the wheels then take off the inner wheel liners to get to the headers. This has been found to be the easiest way to get to the exhaust manifolds. So here is the way I remember doing my longtubes

1. Remove front wheels and wheel liners
2. Remove stock headers
3. Cut off the cats to make room for the longtubes
4. Install long tubes
5 Take truck to exhaust shop to weld the cats back on. Or you can do what I did and do a CAT DELETE.
6. I suggest upgrading your y pipe or go with an x pipe and get true duals.

That is pretty much the jist of the header install. I know its not detailed but you get the idea. Smiler

I didn't remove my tires and had no problems. But Im sure it makes it much easier to do. The driver side you can actually reach all the bolts from the ground laying on a crepper and dont need to remove the wheel liner minus maybe for the removal of the stock logs. I installed the passenger side all with a socket and ratchet and is very simple. However on the passenger side the header design is more complicated and will require a combination wrench also. I cant remember if I could reach all the bolts as easily on that side. May be easier to remove the wheel liner and tire if you cant reach. All in all it is a very simple install. The hardest part is removing the factory stuff. I did it at night in a non electricity garage with a dying flashlight and a cell phone light lol. This is based off of hedmans so different brands may be different.
