Since Pacesetters don't have flanges and they have a 3" diameter collector I need to find a fitting to reduce it to 2.5".

I'm looking for a flanged reducer that goes from 3" to 2.5" with the flange on the 2.5" side. Does anyone make these? This would reduce the number of welds on my system.

Are these what I'm looking for?

The picture looks like it reduces on the flanged side but I think it's just the reflection. From the description it sounds like the 3" is the side with the flange.

I'd do this for a smoother transition..

http://www.jegs.com/i/Flowmaster/389/R3025/10002/-1
And attach it to the 3" collector using one of these..

That way if you ever change your mind about your exhaust system down the road you won't have to mess with cutting any welds, but either way will work fine.

I saw those reducers but I don't have room for a transition that long. the cat on the passenger side is going to have to be after I make the turn to the passenger side.

I am using clamps on the section of pipe that goes under the transmission so it will be easily removed. I'm also using 3 bolt flanges at the headers (3" to 2.5") so I can take those off too. It's gunna take me about 15 welds at least. I'm hoping to get it done this weekend.

I just bought a miller mig yesterday so I've been practicing. I have little stick welding skills but mig is so much easier. The x pipe and the rest of the tubing is on it's way. The headers came in yesterday and I've already welded the turn downs to the mufflers.

Here is my plan. The drivers side pipe will not be 90s they will be 2 45s to make it flow better.

And also I didn;t know that the headers had the front O2 sensors in them. So cancel the "9"s

haha I looked for an actual picture of what our chassis look like but I couldn't find one. So I drew it up. My exhaust ended up looking pretty much exactly like that. It was fun and it's pretty cool when people ask "is that a cat back system?" and i say "no I built the entire system myself." It took me a total of 15 hours. Welder, chop saw, sawzall, grinder is pretty much all you need. A lot of time laying on your back lookin up and test fitting. Well worth it though. Good luck on yours
