I AM LOOKING AT GETTING A SET OF LT PACESETTERS FOR MY 4WD 1500. I AM RUNNING TRUE DUALS NOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO TAKE THE STOCK MANIFOLDS OFF AND JUST WELD THE NEW HEADER TO THE PIPE?

obviously the collector on the LTs sits way further back than the stock manifold so you'll have to cut a good chunk off of your current system.

nope, i went ahead and did hi flow cats to a 3" y pipe. the collector is 3" so you'll have to open up your stock cats to 3" if you want to use those. thumb2

well if you get rid of them bastards, any muffler sounds so daaaaaaaamn good, im running a Dynomax Bullet right now and my truck sounds like my buddies LT1 T/A, it is loud, but i love it, highway noise is not a problem at all with the Bullet, its the Half Throttle and WOT that get all the heads turning, especially when i go under bridges and overpasses it sounds so damn sick. I can make you a vid tomorrow of my setup and you can hear it for yourself. Another insignificant problem is the downstream o2s, i just have mine tied up to transmission harnesses, it will only request the MIL when the PCM performs the Cat. Efficiency monitor and fails two trips, for example if i drive my truck for however long it takes to run the monitor the by the time i reach my destination the PCM will see the first trip and notice it does correlate with the upstream feedback, but it wont set a check engine light yet, its after the second trip my way back home from my destination that it will request the MIL on, then i have a CEL on until i make a couple of short city trips and it will turn itself off, but that little light doesnt bother me at all, some say sims work but i dont feel like spening money on sims, ill probably try to alter the feedback signal somehow with resistors to make the sensor produce a voltage that is inbetween the voltage range for a healthy feedback signal.

and I wouldn't just weld the headers to your exhuats. I welded a flange on so I could remove the system if I needed to. I gutted the stock cats
