Anyone have this problem. Started hearing an exhaust tick the other day. Took a quick look under the truck and the heat sheild on the pass side is flappin. It looks like the last 2 studs broke off at the head of the bolt . Is this normal and does anyone know if its covered under the drive trane warranty. If its not then I guess its time for headers

Mine did it too, but wasnt under warranty, it seems to be something when you have exhaust work, they have extra weight on the manif and they break a stud or bolt, most break out of the block so you dont have to easy out them .

Time to upgrade to some long tube headers! Big Grin
I have an 04 and I didn't have that problem. Then again I probably didn't leave my stock manifolds on long enough for that to happen. Wink

You know it's funny you guys mention this. I have had this weird tick lately from under my truck as well as a mild vibration. After driving and driving, trying to isolate the issue, I thought about maybe a possible exhaust issue today. Now I am really going to have to check it out....
