I have slotted and drilled front and rear rotors and hawk pads. Brakes and rotors are fine, no warpage. BUT when I apply light preassure on the brakes I get a ticking sound, it goes away when I apply hard pressure. Strange thing is that if it was the slots or holes in the rotors it would notmake this intermitent tick. I have removed pads rotors a few time and checked them and found no defects. SOund is like tick......tcik....tick.... no matter what speed I am going. I'm baffled??? Confused

SOunds like just the front drivers side. Like I said, I have taken the darn thing apart a few times and everything fits tight, rotors are not warped, pads look fine. I think I will take them off and switch them over to he other side ( rotors/pads ) at least if it makes noise I won't hear it as loud.

and if the noise doesnt follow the rotor and pads you will know it is something else up there.
