AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS SUMMER, I PUT ON EBC DRILLED SLOTTED ROTORS WITH EBC PADS. EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL. LIKE BUTTER! THE OTHER DAY I WAS GOING ABOUT 80 AND HAD TO BRAKE PRETTY HARD. MY WHOLE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK PRETTY BAD. COULD THIS BE THE ROTORS AFTER 6,000 MILES? BESIDES THAT INCIDENT, THE BRAKES ARE GREAT. ANY IDEAS WHAT ELSE IT COULD BE BESIDES THE BRAKES?

have the rotors checked at an autopart store that is capable of turning rotors. If its not the rotors, then you have a tire with a defect/broke belt. Also check all the ball joints up front... tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints, etc...

How many total miles on truck? How many total miles on tires?

I have never had upgraded rotors, but my last truck even when the brakes were fine at slower speeds vibrated on the highway. Figured it was just rotors trying to slow 6k lbs. too fast. dunno

I had the same issue on my 06 within 2500 miles of putting on D/S rotors. I dropped more cash on another set and still had the problem. Eventhough the front berings showed no play and they had been replaced under the recall, I bought new ones and that solved the problem.

My 06 just had the exact same thing. Changed all of the rotors and pads. This is the third time in the front and second in the back with only 40 K miles. Shaking is GONE, thank God.

And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." - Benjamin Franklin
