My truck only has 15,600 miles on it and I have a pulsation that I believe is coming from the front left side of the truck. My pads are still every thick. It has to be that my rotors are warped. I want to go with good rotors and pads without spending any more money then I have to.

I drive about 7,500 miles a year, tow a 4,500 lbs. trailer once or twice a month in the summer and haul a face cord of firewood once in a while.

I was looking at Power Slot Rotors and Hawk LTS pads. I don't know anything about aftermarket brakes. How are they? Will they last longer then 15,600 miles?

Thanks!

The powerslots and hawk pads should last you quite a bit longer than that. Most of the factory rotors warp in the 15-25k range, especially if the truck comes w/ the 20" wheels. Something about the weight of the wheels and the truck combined with heavy braking don't like each other.

If you want to really ensure you don't have a warping issue in the future you can have the rotors cryo treated for an additional 25.00 per rotor and you'll probably never have a problem out of them.

Let me know if you get ready for a set and we'll get you pricing together. We typically stock the regular ones and special order the cryo versions.

i put powerslots on the front, i turned them myself but the were NOT warped.

but after 20k i had to replace the ceramic pads, they had NO miles left on them.

they kept the wheels clean of dust but did NOT last long enough.

went with lifetime warranted wagers this time Wink

good luck.
