I was looking at Cragar Cryo treated cross-drilled and slotted rotors and Baer Decelerotors. They are both about the same price. Also, which pads are better with dust and stopping performance Hawk LTS pads or Hawk HPS pads? Opinions and any additional options are welcome. Just want to get the best parts the first time.

Go to NAPA and get the performance rotors with lifetime warranty. They also have heavy duty pads to go with the rotors. My front rotors are cross drilled and slotted and look good. No squeal in the brakes now and they stop the truck very well. Rotors and pads for the front was $234.00.

I am tempted to put the Napa rotors and pads on. The price is pretty good on them too. Looks aren't the issue for me, it's about the performance. I was thinking pretty hard about buying the PowerSlot rotors, but the local Napa store makes it easier to deal with warranty issues.

My question is about brake dust. How is the brake dust with the Napa parts? What material are the pads made of?

i installed the power slots and hawk ceramic pads last year before the rally.
stops great, no dust, well a little but not like before.
but after coming down that little trail we took in the mountian, and the pads/rotors got hot. they squealed! i mean LOUD!! just ask anyone that was on that trip.......
stopped once we got down and they cooled down I assume.
havn'et had any problems since.

i do like the pricing on the Napas better... maybe for the rear. this winter.

Those are the ones. They have gone up in price. I have them all the way around on my 03 and I put the Bendix ceramic pads on. No brake dust whatsoever and they stop great. Got about 5-7k on them.

I have had the Baer Decelerators on for about a year with Hawk Pads. They are a huge upgrade over stock. No brake dust, no squealing, and no cracks. Plus Baer gives a 3 Year Warranty.

Everything steel has gone up. At least NAPA rotors are American made and that means something to me. I don't like Chinese crap. In fact, we shop frantically for American made items and that, unfortunately, is becoming very difficult.

I have power slots front and rear with Hawk LTS front and rear as well. I went with the Hawks vs. others because they have increased bite over other pads. This was an issue for me because I tow 8000# or so. There is dust, but I'm okay with that. The trade off is worth it for me.
