So ive noticed recently that sometimes when i start my truck up after its been sitting awhile (in the morning or end of the work day) that when i put it in reverse or drive and press the gas immediatly its as if im driving a 5 speed and it just kinda raises the rpms and doesnt move much. then i let off and hit the gas again and everthing is fine. It doesnt do it very often, and i asked a friend of mine who owns a shop what it could be and he said possibly the superchips b/c of the shift points/rev limiter being adjusted. My truck has 126k on it, but when out on the road, it still drives and shifts like nobodys business. Also, ive heard that if you havent stayed on top of changing the tranny fluid, dont change it at all. true? The last time mine was changed was at 70k. So should i have it serviced, or just let it ride?

My truck always did that till i dropped my trans 0n the 9th of this month. I was told that there is a problem with the trans filter that causes the fluid to drain out of the converter. If you change your filter this should solve the problem.

I have had that exact issue a long time ago. Seems after the "tranny service" a while back it hasnt happened at all. MIne only happened when extreamly warm or cold out. Hasnt happened since the tranny service like I mentioned.
