anyone???

looking to buy a gauge and the one that i really want (matches the rest of the gauges best) the range is 140-300, with the starting point that high i believe it will operate only at it's lower range mabey sometimes not regestering??? what are you guys seeing for temps?

when driving about 65 70 mph sets at 160 165 come to a stop about 200 and then drops pretty quick to about 180 give or take. I have a really big trans cooler plus stock cooler. I have it tied in to the going out line not the return line if that helps any.

about 180 sounds about right. you want some heat in the transmission

As a rule of thumb your trans temp should be right around the same as the motor.
