i bought a 20 pack of assorted resistors today, there are a few different ones in there and i'm trying to decide whether to run a 2.2k ohm or a 1k ohm for the tranny. does anyone know if the 1k will be fine or should i play it safe with the 2.2k?

i would not do the 1k, the resistors sharadon sends out to customers are 1.5k i think id stick with the 2.2k for now and call sharadon performance.

yea i'm kind of leery on the 1k, seems to me that it would cause too much of a pressure increase

if you wanted you could buy their stage III valvebody, i did, and i love it even with the Transgo resistor, ill probably end up getting the 1.5 though.

in the pack of resistors i bought there were 1k, 2.2k, 3.3k, and 4.7k, i wanted a 1.5k not the 2.2, so i messed around with putting two different ones together, and with a 2.2k and 4.7k together, presto, right on 1.5k

two 1k resistors in parallel would have given you 500 ohms. The 2.2k and 4.7k calculate out to 1.498k which is purty darn close to what you need. Good job. |
