So why do they send you that big snapring for your underdrive and the parts for the pump if they don't recommend you install them? They say skip the pages of install if the tranny is in the truck. Has anyone else done this and not put them in? They say the snap ring replaces the tapered one that pops out and breaks. I definitly don't like to hear about things breaking in my tranny.
The install of the kit would go from a couple hours to a full day with a re & Re of the tranny as well as pull apart time. I bought the kit from WIT in Louisville. My tranny was still in the truck so I just did the valve body fixes. That was just about 8-9 months ago.
I had to replaced the solenoid on top of valve body, so I replaced the side plate, springs, etc. So far things are good. Was a little scare a couple days after the london gtg. But 41 passes on the track in one day may have had me really scared. ----------------------------------- '03 Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie Sport No Mods To the Truck. Not counting lights and siren. |
