Russ / BigArt-

I know guys have installed your tranny temp gauges without the need for a new tranny pan with fitting.

Question is where is the test port on our trannys so I can install the sender?

I have the Autometer Ultra-Lite Dig 6579 unit with wiring harness and 1/8 npt (male) sending unit.

Wiring up is easy, but finding where to put that damn sender is my issue.

Can anyone help?

Russ has the analog and it will fit in the test port on the tranny.

Yours should be like mine and I had to make an adapter. Remember near my front passenger inner fender? That's it. It's easy to do.

your 05 ram manual should show you where the test ports are on the tranny. you want the top one. i may have a thread on here with pics of where it went. art has his inline, that may be the way to go. super easy install, you where there for it buddy, took me like 30 minutes or so, and thats with all of my ineptitudes at wiring.
