My bumper is rusting on the edges, it looks like it started on the back side of the bumper and then is attacking the edge.

Any thoughts? I try to keep it clean, and winter is over.

I've never had this problem, but I'm afraid the chrome will start peeling up.

I've barely had the truck one year, bought it new.

Take it back for warranty,.. they should cover it and replace it.

My mods are located on or in my truck,.. I have come to the conclusion they work better there than posted on here.

Agreed. Should not be rusting and peeling chrome off after one year.

It's just barely started, but it's only going to get worse. I may wait a bit and see, so it's obvious there is a problem, not just being nit picky when I take it in.

Mine was rusting and I had it replaced under warranty, but I made them give me a painted one to avoid the rust issue again.

Wow, seems to be an 07 problem? Maybe they changed suppliers of the bumpers? Or the supplier cut some corners to save a buck?

Well, the mechanic who replaced my rear diff gear oil (with AMSoil) noticed my rear bumper had rust on the bottom, left side. I also noticed that there was rust on the inside opposite the rust on the outside. I took it to the dealership today and talked to the service manager he ordered another bumper for me. Said, "Chrysler doesn't warranty chrome bumpers, but since you take care of your truck, I'll order a one-time replacement for you." Truck is just one year old and has only 15K miles on it; the bumper shouldn't rust like that.

Guess, I'll have to keep my eye on it from now on.
