i started a Six Pack hood project, loving it already, can't wait to get it finished and installed.
now i need some ideas for a custom air induction for it, the original six pack one is too expensive so that's a no no Black 2004 Qc 4X4, Superchips,comp 260 cam,6.1 springs and pushrods,Taylor Thundevolt 50, Edelbrock TES headers, 3.5" Moroso Spiral Flow/ , K&N C.A.I., Innovate LC1, MarkVIII E Fan, Hellwig RSB, 4 X HID,Daytona running boards and bed accents,lund rool pan, Kenwood KNX7100 nav., R camera, 80G hard drive, 9" flip down monitor, Phoenix gold Tantrum 600.4 for Diamond Audio 4.5" dash and R.F. 5" R doors, Elemental Designs 9.4 for HCCA 6S comps front door, Precision Power DCX 1500.1 for 2 X 10" RE Audio SE, Oxygen Audio 20 Farad cap, Rammat sound deadner, tons of wires      |

OK, it's ready for paint and i got quoted $100.00 plus cost of materials for the paint job, i would say +-$150.00 total, (Friends price)
is it a good deal? if you don't mind my 2 cents ---
have the hood sanded down really well on both sides and put epoxy primer on as your first 2 coats for defense of rust and especially protections against road chips, you can sand the primer down to 600 grit, also the base coat on top of the primer would be a first class finish..a high solid clear coat would finish it off. You get what you pay for, and hoods can get chipped very easily.. Is your hood a showoff? If it is, I would then protect it..and your hard work. Nice Job!
