Just noticed a couple spots on my hood, where the clear coat was a couple of days ago. What would cause this, mischief I hope not. Is there a cure?

Rock chips or something similar.. not much of a cure, just keep it waxed, till you decide one day to re-paint the whole hood. I do a lot of highway driving and "it" happens   '05 Sport,RC. new mods from the shade tree shop: a few Six Pack Hoods, hand made Stainless Steel 1/2" Hood Pins.
