It has been done before. Any body shop should be able to paint them for ya.

I don't think there is. My shop would have told me about something like that.

I don't think anyone makes them already painted. Be sure you get the kind that fit inside, not the stick on. Good luck!

I was going to have mine painted, along with some headlight covers. The place I took it said there is a place that only deals with shops that sells them pre painted. I am waiting to hear back today about them. The shop owner said it would be cheaper and faster to get it from that company than to have him do them. We will see.

Nobodt sells them already painted. the reason is matching the factory colors would require alot on stock on the shelves and the problem with the paint getting scratched in shippment. We send them to a body shop to march the colors foe ous customers.

I disagree, I had the window track ones and the body shop painting some assholes key artwork on the sides of my truck broke them when taking them off, so I got to pick which ones I liked best, The stick ons were a much better look in my opinion

What does that mean?
The in channel ones are made the same as the outside ones. I would think them sticking on the inside of the channel to the window felt would make them come off easier that ones stuck to the paint on the truck. But I've never taken them off, so I really don't know.

iagree
just wondering how that might out, wet sand it with 600 grit paper, wipe clean with a waterborne wax and grease remover, spray plastic adhesive, then base coat, then a couple of clear coats.

The process would be the same way bug shields are apinted to match, they are sprayed form the rear, if I am not mistaken.
