a friend told me about a product he saw that was a spray on smoke tint for headlights, taillights, and even windows. has anyone heard of this and if so where to buy it?

You can also get model car paint that is for tinting the windows and use it on any plastic. Ive tinted tons of tail lights with it. They also have transluscent (SP?) red blue amber and yellow for like $4 a can.

The vht nightshades works great, got mine done, did them a bit too dark but very easy to use and looks great!

Found what I was looking for on e bay. Made by a company called AUG. the only bad part so far is all the directions are in japaneese!

Yeah the front of the can is in english. But the whole back and directions that came with it are in japanese!

VHT night shades can be found at oreilly auto for about 10 bucks a can well worth it. i used it on my truck with excellent results!

No one local carries NiteShades and if I order it I gotta buy a whole box. SO I just used Testors (Model Master)Smoke Window tint paint like all my import buddies used back in the day. Did it on my truck and clearcoated it. Came out sweet and its like $4 a can, your gonna want one can per tail light probably. Any hobby store should have the stuff.

I just used the VHT and it is SOOO dark. I did one coat on my tail lights and it was all it needed. I used one on the third brake light ut it overlapped and made it so dark it looks black. So, if you use vht for just a smoked look then use it carefully.
