I want to have my 06 all red/black (take all the chrome off, badges too) Ive never seen an inferno red dodge around with painted bumpers/grill, is there such a thing from factory? Can the bumpers even be painted over properly? What about the grill i havent really checked to see what kind of chroming is on the grill.

painting over the chrome will be tricky at best... some say it works ok if you scuff it up well, but i've never seen it last to long without chipping.

Did some digging and Inferno red was not, and is not offered in a "sport" model (painted grill, lower bumper cover, rear bumper) The closest you can get is a Laramie, but still has chrome grill, and rear bumper. Only the lower bumper is color matched (but has chrome insert). The ONLY ALL Inferno red truck built was for 06 and was the SRT10.
So if you can get the lower "sport" front bumper cover and grill, and a non-chrome rear bumper then get them color matched, you would have a very unique truck on your hands. thumb2

and a picture of a 06 "sport" (mine) Big Grin
the only difference in the Laramie front bumper and the sport bumper is the chrome cover behind the license plate, they use the same bumper "cover" on both trucks.

guess, ill have to look around for some other painted grills/bumpers then get them repainted. Maybe i can even locate an 07 bumper that is painted inferno.

Im not a fan of chrome on the Inferno Red at all

Nice Truck!
Yes, they do make the color matching bumpers from the factory. I have seen them around by me since the Inferno color is becoming more popular.
I believe you can just go the dealership aka stealership and order a new bumper. Might be a whole lot of money, but beats trying to paint over the chrome yourself, and just having to waste your time later on by dealing with all the nicks, and chips.

I have thought about taking the lower valance off, sanding that down and painting it the Inferno color to match the body. Even though I have a bull bar on it now, I still saved the valance, just in case I change my mind and put it back on.

IMO, the easiest way for you to accomplish what you are after is to order a flat balck plastic grill shell and have it painted to match. That way you wont be trying to spray over plasti-chrome. You can have the front and rear bumpers media blasted to remove the chrome and have them prepped and painted to match your truck.
I did this with my truck and it looks great. The only exception is I used a bumper cover from StreetScene on the front.

Current mods:

Exterior: 2003 RC short bed Ram. Chrome 20" Motto wheels, 275/55/20 Bridgestone Duelers, tint, functional SRT-10 Hood, Street Scene bumper cover, de-chromed and painted rear bumper, body matched grill shell, mirrors, door handles, tailgate handle and antenna mount, billet grill and bumper inserts, Bushwhacker street fender flares, polished "Ram" 3rd brake light cover.
Engine: Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust, 3rd Strike dual filter with throttle body spacer.
Audio: Alpine 9885 with IPod, Infiniti 3.5", 5.25" and 6x9's, two Kenwood DVC 12" subs with three Kenwood amps running it all through Monster Cable wiring. Optima red-top.
Interior: Sueded headliner, color matched A&B pillars, overhead console, and rear light surround.
