As stated he is 20 and graduated high school and has tried to pass the test in florida and felled by a point or two he's now in SC and is going to take the test again does anyone have any pointers for him or what he should concentrate on? Any help would be appreciated

I'm assuming you mean the ASVAB test? If so, that is a basic HS knowledge based exam... have him get a good night's sleep the night before (no alcohol), get a good hearty breakfast - and he'll do just fine.
