Recently my left HID keeps going out. It usually starts fine and then just goes off. I swapped the bulb with the right side to make sure it isn't a bulb problem. I have checked every connection, several times, and still have the problem. Could this be a ballast problem? I have the 4300 H13 from Twiggy. A couple of times the bulb would get brighter then pop off. It really acts like a loose connection or bad ground but I have checked those. I am at the point of replacing the original bulbs.

I know all of the HID kits we've put in the rams here we have to install either a resistor inline with it or one of the switch smart boxes to make them work right. Other wise they flicker, shut off randomly, or just don't work at all at times. Crazy thing is every truck seems to be a little different with some being more tolerable of the HID's than others.

If you think you might have a ballast problem I'd swap the ballast from the right to the left and see if the problem follows it. You've already tried swapping the bulb and still have the problem. I'm not sure what Twiggy uses in his kits to make them compatible on the rams, but if its one of the resistor/relay packs like we use and it has a bad connection or is starting to go bad you'll get an issue similar to this.

Not sure if this helps or not, just throwing in my 2 cents....

why not just go back to Twiggy? He's great at fixing up problems like these. I had an issue with my brand new set, I sent them back and he sent me another set the next day. I'm sure he would take care of you if you just pm him on DT.

That was my first thought, but I was unable to find his name to PM him.
