Today, decided to take a shot at tinting the third brake light.
Here's how it looks stock, and for now..
Need to sand it down more, apply a few more coats, wetsand then clear.
I'm new to painting so this is a learning experience.
Also, used Model Window Tint paint, which I've read good reviews online for and I like, shows light good, but dark as hell..
If it doesn't turn out I'm prob gonna sand down and have my painter Ant paint it along with tails.
Debating if I want to put the turn signals in it like my Dakota has, being that I can't see anything with the cargo lights anyway with my tonneau cover.

Here's what I did to the dakota.

They outside bulbs are LED so they turn on and off faster, giving that look it does, and making it brighter.

I added a load equalizer so it doesn't blink as fast. I will upload a new video of that soon.

can't tell from the pictures, but the third brake light looked like crap because of drips because of my impatience, and had grass blade marks from freshly cut grass and wind.. lol. so I sanded it down sunday, used some thinner to wipe them clean, and started from scratch..
Look 100% better in person, just need cleared and buffed.

A lot of guys on here have done that. I used VHT Niteshades on my trucks. Looks real good. And lets the light through. Also goes on light so if you want it dark you have to do about 4 or 5 coats.

What does this mean??????????????

The turn singal blinks fast because of brake lights being shaved and truck thinks a bulb is burned out

I have no taillights, just the fire and ice bar.
The taillight bulb wire harness was removed at where the main plug for the actual bulbs go, so I have the fire and Ice bar hooked into trailer harness. Since there are no bulbs, the truck doesn't feel a draw from those lights, and blinks fast.

It has been fixed with resistors since then.
