for the back up lights. I'm looking for the wire under the dash so that I can tie it to my strobes. I want the strobes on when I'm backing to wake up some of the idiots in parking lots Smiler

Sorry Phill, Do you have the optional trailer plug? You can test one of those wires (with a meter) too see if you have power in reverse.

Dave , the truck is an 04.

I could tap at the back of the truck (My back up camera is spliced into that wire) but then I would have to run a wire back into the cab, currently the switch and the power supply are both in the cab and if I don't have to run another wire thru the truck,I'd prefer not too.

If you have a seven-wire harness, it's the center pin. As I recall, the wire is white/brn stripe.
