Has anyone installed an inline switch or a disconnect of some kind into the factory hood lamp wiring? It would be nice to be able to just switch the lamp off during daylight when you are working on the engine or if you have the hood up at a truck/car show.
Thanks for your suggestions.

You can unplug it at the firewall pretty easy. I took mine out. It ruins the effect at shows.

I assume your going to the show in Huntsville. Tell Duane "Hi" and good luck. thumb2

Thanks Rancher, yes I thought about that too - just also thought about maybe some kind of single pole toggle switch that would make it REAL easy. I don't have much to look at under the hood outside of a very few minor mods so my intention was more to switch it off when working under the hood, save the light and save a draw on the battery. I don't know for sure about the show yet, I'll try but probably won't get there by 8 AM anyway.

You can put an in-line switch on it without much trouble.
And you don't have to be there at 8AM...at least I doubt it. Most places start around 8 but registration is open until 10 or 11.

Big Grin Made a paper template and took it to a glass and mirror company and had them cut the out. Velcro strips hold them in place during shows......and a long ways down Tennessee roads when you forget to take them out. Frowner
