You can get the regular silverstars, but not the ultras. I wonder why?

I have SS Ultras for headlights and fogs, I love 'em. Can't remember the headlight price, but the fogs are $20 apiece at Autozone. I wasn't crazy about HID's so I got these, they are plenty bright and have a definitely nice non-stock look to them.

The Phillips bulbs are brighter than the SS. They are closer to HID in brightness and are white.

iagree Philips bulbs last longer and are brighter. Ultras are claimed to only be +50 bulbs (50% brighter over stock halogens) and Philips highest legal bulb is +80. The Philips X-treme power bulbs are the closest to HID's you can get legally without sacrificing light output like with the blue bulbs. If you can find the Philips bulbs they are well worth it over the Sylvanias. The only retailer around here is Kmart, but they can be ordered online. But of course HID's are always better than halogens Big Grin.

my piaa h13's are 1000x brighter than the dull stockers. I have piaa's in my fogs too. Nice alternative to the more expensive HID upgrade.

You can get them on ebay for less than $20/pair too. Hmmmm.....I think I might have to try those out. Or the Philips. But I am having a hard time finding those. Anyone know where you can get a comparable price on the Philips?

And what bulbs are the fogs?

guys over at jeepsunlimited are running HIR headlights. They are round tips but they make a real bright white light. Still cheaper than hid's. Do a search for HIR. I might get these for my jeep as well

Kind of late on this. But, I have the SS Ultra's and the difference from stock/regular and them is insane. I have not used the phillips so no comparison reference. Only problem with the SS is life span. 2 years is about it. I think they are worth every penny.
