I just purchased a set of Xentec HID KIT with 9007 bulbs and 8000 color for my 04 Ram 1500. The probelm is they came with poor instructions. I was wondering if any one had any expierence with installing these kits or perhaps detailed instructions they can post or email me. Im not a tech, but im also not an idiot when it comes to repairs. I want to make sure i do it right and not cause issues. i wish i had come to Hemitruckclub before purchaing these on ebay as I know I would have had better luck with the people on here that recomend venders etc... Any way if anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks again to all who provide help and support. Ive had great luck in past and I was able to help others out here as well. i guess thats what Hemitruckclub is all about. as far as im concerned the best forum around. Thank You

The kit should be for the most part plug and play, is your kit a dual filament HID where both the high and low beam is HID or does it have Low beam in HID and a regular High beam bulb?

If its dual filament HID it should have 2 bulbs that go in the factory spots, 2 ballasts you have to mount that will plug directly into the bulbs, a harness that goes to the battery, ground, the 2 ballasts, and the factory connection for one side of your head lights. There will also be a small jumper wire from that harness that will go to small wires on the bulbs as well. All of this will be direct connections and plug right in with the exception of the wire to ground and the battery.

Some kits you can plug in everything and it will just work, others you will either have to buy a set of switch-smart relays for around $50 to wire them all in, or a set of resistors, around $35, that you wire into the low beam side to make the truck think you have regular bulbs installed. I'd try installing them as they came first and see if they'll work, otherwise we'll have to go deeper into installing the relays/resistors.....

If you HID's are just HID on low they should come w/ an adapter that plugs into the factory connection and the ballast, the bulbs will plug into the ballast and the provided adapter. There won't be any connections to the battery or ground with this type setup. The same goes as above, if you hook them up and have flickering lights or they won't stay on you will have to go with the resistors/relays to solve the problem.

Henson Motors, Thank you for the replay.

They are a low beam only kit. The adapter that comes with then has 3 openings for connections. The adapter only has 2 wires(red/black) power and ground I assume. the factory connection has 3 pin connectors. Thats were the confusion is coming. I assume that 1 of the pins on the factory is for the highbeam. the other 2 are the power and grounds. How do i determine which one is the Highbeam. Tester i guess? Thanks for the info, it definatly helps. Im hoping someone out here may have a link to a install diagram or something like that.

Ok, So I do need to buy this canceller/capasitor to get the bulb warning light off and to stop the lights from flickering. I can only find these online. Does anyone know where perhaps they can be purchased at a local type store. I checked Best buy, radio shack, autozone, advanced auto and no luck. Any ideas???
Thanks again
