Anybody have an idea why the HID lights on a new install are flashing. The grounds are good and the rest of the wiring is correct. Bad relay maybe??? Has anyone seen this before?

Yes, unfortunately we've seen this before. What's happening is the ballast for the HID system isn't providing enough of a load to the headlight circuit in the truck. The truck "thinks" there is no bulb in the socket and turns the circuit off. Then, it comes back on because the headlight switch is on. Then the cycle repeats.

You have to buy the HID kits that are computer-friendly. In other words, kits that trick the truck into thinking a regular bulb is there.

One thing you could try is using relays. They *might* provide enough of a load. I've included a schematic below.

So what have we learned in 2 millennia?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
- Cicero - 55 B.C.

Apparently, nothing......

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young,
compassionate with the aged,
sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong.
Because someday in life you will have been all of these."

Also add a 7500MF capasitor in line on each light. Not holding the right volts for the light and the computer thinks its not there.

Did it for mine and now they work perfect! thumb2

installed my hids friday and they have flickered but only 3 times. i bought the 2 1000mf capacitors but am confused as to where to install them. do i need to splice them somewhere inline between the ballast and the hid bulb or the factory harness and the ballast? i have no clue here.

2008 qc 1500 hemi lone star - stock for now aside from HID headlights.

I am wondering the same thing?

I ended up splicing into my parking lights in order for them to work. Relay harness didn't work for me... Lamp out light is always on because of the lack of resistance but resistors should fix that. Just need to figure out which ones!
